5 Tips to stay healthy


Maintaining a healthy life in busy schedule is really hard. Making healthy choices isn’t always easy, a healthy lifestyle can help you thrive throughout your life. Learning to balance your life with some time for yourself will pay off with big benefits — a healthy outlook and better health.So here are some easy tips that I am sharing with you that helps you maintain a healthy weight, boost your metabolism, increase brain function and start feeling powerful from the inside out.

1. Keep a bottle of water nearby
I know you have heard this a lot! Drink at least 5 glasses of water. Drinking water not only keeps you hydrated but also keeps your skin looking healthier, helps in digestion, flushes out toxins, promotes weight loss and maintain body temperature. To help you stay on top of daily water intake, keep a bottle near you so you can take sips regularly. Nowadays, you can find different water apps for your mobile phone which allows you to set reminders for yourself at scheduled or random intervals to get something to drink and keeps track of how well you are meeting your daily water drinking goals.

2. Eat real food
Keep your kitchen stocked with fresh, healthy food that are easy to grab or snack on rather than packaged and refined foods. Most packaged food are loaded with sugar, excess sodium, preservatives, colors and flavoring which can be tasty to taste buds but can be very harmful for your health. Opt for fruits, grains, and veggies.

3. Catch more ZZZZs
Sleep is a vital indicator of overall health and well-being. Getting enough quality sleep at the right times can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety. Sleep is overlooked and underrated when it comes to being healthy. Your body needs rest like it needs food and water. No matter how busy your schedule is it is important to make sleep a priority. Your body needs 7-9 hours of sound sleep.

4. Exercise
Regular exercise is necessary for both physical and mental fitness. If you don’t exercise, your muscles will become flabby and weak. Your heart and lungs won’t function efficiently. And your joints will be stiff and easily injured. Exercise helps prevent diseases, improves stamina, controls weight, improve quality of life. You can take exercise classes 3 times a week and if you cannot take regular class opt to walk instead of drive, choose stairs over elevators and escalators, take few minutes to stretch your muscles. Find something movement-based that you enjoy.( Some ideas: yoga, running, or  jumba dance.)

5. Be in touch with family and friends
Heath doesn’t start and end with food and working out. Your mind and emotional state matter, too. Making time to be social helps with depression, anxiety and stress. So it is really important to socialize with your friends and family members, spending quality time with family also helps to release works stress.
